Aerocatch flush hood pins

Does anyone have any experience with these? It seems the general consensus is that hood pins aren't necessary for a fiberglass hood.

Are they an eye sore? And do you think I could paint them to match?

If were me, these would be the ones I would use. Push button, much smaller and since they are round instead of oval, easier to get a flush mount with them.

Ran these on multiple custom rides over the years. When installed properly they are awesome. Get the real deal. Measure 1 million times, cut once.

I've got the locking version on my Firebird - I like them. I did not paint them though, so I can't speak to that.
