Fender Louvers
https://racelouvers.com/camaro-16-22...f-fender-trim/
Anyone have any input on these. Primarily interested in autocross benefits and daily fun while highway commuting (100+miles freeway).

It would help if you told people which version of the G6 Camaro you have.
The 1LEs and ZL1 (not sure about the SS) already have dedicated brake ducting (getting air to the front brakes) to cool the brakes while driving on track. I would guess that adding a fender louver to one of these types wouldn't provide much benefit as any excess air pressure probably just spills out the bottom or side of the fender well. Maybe it would help with aero, but if you're just driving autocross, aero is not an issue anyway. Likewise, if you have a version that doesn't have dedicated brake ducting, adding this louver won't help as you still can't get air into the fender well to begin with. |

It will help with both brake cooling and downforce but for autox it's not going to make much of a difference.
The hood vents otoh may help with engine cooling, I always pop my hood after an autox run, with the vents it might allow enough air to escape you wouldn't need to bother. I'm doing both hood and fenders, and I guess I'll have to get a splitter and wing if I really want to be competitive in CAM... I got another car for a DD so might as well continue making the Camaro a race car.

Good way to devalue a car cut holes in the fenders!

Lol, fenders are relatively cheap and easy to replace.

If I would ever do this I would just get 2 used fenders and cut them up.
If someone comes out with functional fender vents that look more like the Viper ACR's then I would think about it...or better yet just come out with a vented fender, no cutting needed.

Not something I would do, but as long as you are happy with them, that’s what matters.

Not something I would do, but if you like it that's all that matters.
I don't like it because it reminds me too much of the Buick fender vents...and we all know what happens when you get behind a Buick. Just my 2 cents... |

Looks aren't the point, it's functional. I like the looks anyways.
