Going to replace my stock CHMSL soon (this weekend likely). I hear it's a pain to remove all of the prior CHMSL sealer. I've already spoken to the wise and always helpful Fifty Godfather, but did anyone find any cleaner that worked really well to remove that junk? Thanks in advance!

Sorry, my thumbnails took the brunt of it.

Yeah I’ve seen it done several times. But it just bugs me how it’s done vs the 5th gen. Little nervous. I’m sure it will go well.

I believe it’s in this thread somewhere but I bought a 3M adhesive remover (part number escapes me at the moment) at the local auto parts store. Still took a while to clean it up. Make sure your using a non-metal trim tool to break the seal around the CHMSL. Should come right out without having to get inside the truck lid.

When in doubt, take a picture.

Begin with a heat gun to soften up the glue first, be careful and keep the
gun moving, then use a plastic pry tool and loosen the edges. Should just pull
right off. I used Goo Gone to remove the excess glue.

I think you copy the wrong thread. To remove the steering wheel you do not remove any gluy.

What the hack is CHMSL???

Wife and I went out a week or so ago and took a few photos. Cars were filthy.

Soooo.....yesterday I made a couple trips with the top down. Temps in the low 60s

Today's forecast is calling for a winter weather advisory, potential for 2 - 5" of snow by midnight

WHAT THE FUDGE?!?!?
