GM footwell lighting?

So I've finally have my car, love it so far and have gone through the manual and now setting up some stuff inside.

Currently playing with the ambient lighting a little and I've got a question!

When I open the door there id a nice white light for the footwells, but there doesn't seem to be any color while I'm inside. What is this supposed to look like? Here is a picture of the interior as I sit...

Now I have some trim pieces in a bag I haven't looked in yet, I was assuming those were the pieces taken out to have this package added in.

Am I missing something or should there be some color down there?

I believe all 6th gen's have the white light for when a door is open, there is an additional cost package along the lines of GM Illuminated Footwells that integrates the footwell lighting into the ambient lighting colors and software through the radio.

Yeah, I've got the extra package, im wondering if they forgot to program them or plug them in?

Perhaps even lied about installing them at all?

Any way I can check? What should I be looking for?

Does anyone have pictures of what it should look like?

Edit: Looks like they lied.
Ensured me it was installed too. Good thing I looked...

Tell you what, im gonna be pretty peeved if they don't actually have the part and just gave me the run around.

I cant find the kit anywhere online, and if they had the gull to charge me the $425 knowingly not having the parts im going to be pissed.

Yep, they definitely did not install the kit, funny enough its ~$250 new for the kit from most online sources so they must've charged you labor for something that wasn't done as well

Yep.. they didn't install anything, oof. Pretty easy to install though I've heard getting the kit now is impossible as it's discontinued or some such?? :-/

It's probably on back order like everything else, because of the strike. I'm sure it will be back I'm stock after that, I want one as well.

Dealer just got back to me, it is on backdoor, wish they told me that instead of saying they installed it.

I have it and it looks just like willzilla D3RPZILLA posted. BTW, any of the Dealer (LPO) installed items need to checked and confirmed at time of the delivery. The posted delivery checklist was with me after the PDI and it helped.

Thank you for this information! I just went out and looked, and my illuminated footwell lighting was not installed on my 2SS. I took a photo of the empty rectangular opening and sent it to the dealer. We’ll see what their excuse is.

Yeah, again the fact they told me they installed it is what irks me.

Glad to bring some awareness to this, this is my first and potentially last brand new car and I'm still learning the ropes lol.

Yeah, problem was I didn't know what I was looking for. It was pretty sunny the days I checked it out and they assured me it was installed. Last night was my first night with the car.

My dealers PDI Dept is saying they installed the footwell ambient lighting. I told them no way, as there is nothing mounted in the rectangular holes where the lights go. There is nothing in that hole!
