I would of expected a bit more gains then that....at least 90whp from even a very mild setup. If you baselined 418, then a mild H/C/H setup should put you over 500 pretty easy on 93 octane.

Well two things. I did not use their cam, my choice. Second, their dyno per them is very spot on.. Remember they build for professional teams, no inflated numbers. This is well into the 530-540 at the crank... I'm happy

I am specifically referring to delta gains from the mods not peak numbers...so dyno used doesn't matter. A mild h/c setup should gain around 90whp. I said over 500 because your base line was 418. If your base line number was 390 then the gains would look right. You can gain 50whp on these engines with just bolt-ons without getting into the motor. I think there is some missing power in your setup is all.

Either way glad you are happy...that is all that matters!!

Tim - salute you for posting the numbers.

Katech is likely conservative from their reliable track background along with the cam being easy enough on the valve train to be rated for OEM valve springs - so with your uprated valvetrain will likely last a GM durability cycle...unlike probably all the other 'big' cams available.

Got to do a video of it at 7000 rpm - the soundtrack of these cars (with the OEM exhaust) is just one more impressive attribute to Chevy's package.

Our standard head and cam package makes about 530rwhp with a full exhaust. Not sure why exactly this made so little power, but there was nothing left on the table with this camshaft. For a cam of it's size (terms of duration), the lift/duration area under the curve was low (we cam-doctored the camshaft).
