How to quiet down 2020 1ss with full header back system

Well, my brother just bought a 2020 1ss camaro without checking to see why it was so loud, i looked under the hood and it has a full catless header back system. From factory this car came with npp exhaust by looking at the rpo codes so i guess i have a few questions
1: does anyone know where to find the factory npp muffler system for sale
2: would the factory muffler be able to hide at least some of the droning noise on the car when driving interstate speeds
3: are there any better options for quieting it down? we want to keep the headers but it is his daily driver and the loud exhaust may get annoying over time
4: does anyone have any good sound clips of a 6th gen camaro with headers and stock npp exhaust? mainly looking to see if stealth mode will be managable as a daily driver
thanks!

For starters... I suggest you find a used stock exhaust set up and take the car to a muffler shop to have it installed. I'd drive that for a while first, and if that is still too loud, would consider putting a set of green cats on the car.

Yeah your brother can look for a stock axleback, add cats and add a resonator in place of the x-pipe. He can do those one at a time (in that order) and stop when he's happy with the sound

Add a magnaflow x-pipe resonator then go through a set of magnaflow mufflers should give you a nice deep bass classic tone with no drone.

I have 2inch header to stock muffler and I dont have drone. Car isnt too loud either until you floor it. Very much recommend.

As for where to find one, check offer up? Or nearby muffler shop to keep an eye out for you in case some dude does a muffler delete and leaves his muffler

1: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...ht=npp+exhaust , or https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...ht=npp+exhaust Keep an eye on the owner classifieds for OE stuff for cheap. I just bought MMR wheels with tires,TPMS, and Gorilla lugs from an add started in 2020, so don't be discouraged if the "for sale" post has been around. It could still be available.
2: Yes
3: green cats aren't better but will provide a bit more noise suppression while not hurting the sound quality.
4: not me, but I did lose the 2nd cats, added Borla's x-pipe, and replaced the "crushed pipe" section with 2 3/4" straight pipe. That works well for me.

All true, but in all honesty, cold starts on my car wake the dead even with green cats and the stock suitcase muffler. It is much more civilized after the initial 10 seconds or so, and becomes a snarling monster at high throttle afterwards.

I run the 2 cats, and this Borla https://www.americanmuscle.com/borla...ler-60608.html and the factory suitcase and it is STILL loud at full boost 7200 RPM. I've run the stock factory headers 4 cats (front two modified for flow), Borla 60608, factory squash pipes, suitcase muffler and it actually was kind of quite but not really, still could hear the big cam idle.

Long story short the 60608 help a lot, cats 2 or 4 helped alot. I aslo did LT headers and dual cats and I really liked that sound.

Cut the top of the npp open and stuff with muffler packing and weld closed

Tour and ice modes are quiet with headers and stock NPP muffler/exhaust. However, valves are open upon starting so it will still be loud initially. I just did a Corsa NPP change out this past weekend and gave away my stock NPP suitcase to a member of the VA Camaro club. Like previously mentioned, find a used stock NPP suitcase/muffler and install it and it will quiet it down some as long as you are not in Sport or Track modes.

Add cats and the stock NPP. No drone and quiet when cruising. Race car loud with full throttle.

Wakes the dead on cold start, but very quiet idling after a couple of minutes.

Add resonators to X pipe and put a stock NPP muffler back on. Preferably a ZL1 unit if you can find one.
