Car is in route back home to SCCAForums, can't wait to see the rest of the build come together.

Man this is an epic build! Thanks for showing the pictures and bringing us along for the ride. You definitely got me wanting to spend more money than I should looking at the craftsmanship and everything from beginning to end.

SCCAForums will attest to it all day as well as just about everybody else, but Katech is second to none. They are simply the best at what they do.

Every dream build I can think of involves a Katech built engine.

I'm dropping mines off there tomorrow. I was originally going in for the Stage 2 package which is everything before H/C but looking at this I might just bite the bullet and be done with it. I'm considering getting the K-Spec option though since it built around the LT2 manifold which I already have. Hopefully when I move to AZ in a few months I'll see this camaro too!

I say go for it! I considered multiple options before I ultimately ended up with my spec’d build. I didnt want to wonder “what if” so I went for what I wanted in the first place.

Looking forward to connecting when you move to AZ!

Ok, the car is 'Home' in the garage! And has the rear bumper on!

This afternoon we'll get Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Hood installed, and then work on the Carbon Fiber Fenders!

I can't say enough about the fit/finish/quality of Katech! If the intake manifold didn't say MSD you'd think this was all OEM!!

Looking forward to sharing the next iteration of photo's and progress as we go through Full Interior transformation, Exterior/Aero, Suspension and Audio!

We have 3 short weeks until the first Optima Ultimate Street Car event being held at ThunderHill Raceway!

Special thanks to all our partners:
Katech Performance
Pro Parts USA Custom Suspension
Anderson Composites
MSD & Holly Performance Parts
Hurst Shifters
QA1 Driveshafts
G-Loc Brakes
MFR Engineering (Aero)
Nine Lives Racing (Big Wangs)
Jet Hot Performance Coatings
Forgeline Wheels
MTX Audio
Penske Rapid Repair
Optima Ultimate Street Car

Progress update 22?

Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Hood & front fenders installed, along with Carbon Fiber stripes installed by Penske Rapid Repair. (The Carbon Fiber Vinyl material was 'very affordable' and showed during install, this will have to be replaced again unfortunately).

Some pics of the install and progress.

Later this week, ZL1 Custom Painted Brake Calipers, along with GiroDisc 2 piece rotors, and G-Loc brake pads. And reinstalling last year's Pro Parts USA Custom Suspension (Custom Koni's) while we await our Pro Parts MCS Double Adjustable's to arrive and then off to the dealer for Alignment and 'hopefully' the GM AutoX eDiff tune.

The Katech motor is 'sooo smooth'... Wow! Cannot wait to get this on the track in a couple of weeks. Uploaded a quick 3rd / 4th gear pull on the hwy down in Mexico.

https://youtu.be/7JP1-bue8U8

More updates to follow!

Best regards,
Dave
