Tpms reset wheel change question.

I just bought a 23 lt1 today and will be swapping wheels tomorrow. Will i be able to reuse the OEM tpms and will it/they need to be reset with the new wheel/tire combo?

Also can I use 4 of the same 20*9.5" wheels with the same 39 offset without issues?

You need a tool like this for the TPMS relearn procedure

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072BK693N/

You can have the TPMS swapped from your stock wheels to new wheels. The tires need to be dismounted to remove them and they'll need to go on your new wheels before mounting tires.

I think your stock wheels have 25mm offset front and rear, and with a nominal 8.5" rim width that gives you 5.73" backspacing. 9.5" wheels with 39mm offset have 6.79" backspacing, or slightly more than an inch more than stock. This means the outside edge of the wheel will sit almost exactly where your stock outside edges sit, but the in inside edge will be slightly more than 1" further inside. That may cause interference issues. As a reference, the SS 1LE has 10" front wheels with 20mm offset and 6.29" backspacing - exactly 1/2" less backspacing that your proposed setup - and it's pretty close to the inside strut. That strut is the MRC version, which is bulkier than yours, so you may get away with it. However, if it were me, I would want to run either 1/2" or 3/4" spacer up front to get them to sit more appropriately in the wheel wells. It would be better for looks and performance. The hassle with this is that you'll need longer wheel studs: not a huge ordeal but still a hassle.

The rears will be fine: the stock 1LE rears (11" and 43mm offset) have 0.9" more backspacing than your proposed aftermarket setup and have no clearance problems at all.

I think 6.3" is the most backspace for a stock 27.7" tall tire. You could go deeper with a 27" tall tire.

Just transfer the TPMS sensors to your new wheels, mark each wheel so you put the same sensor in the same position back on the car as they were removed.

I can't get my tire shop to mount 4 tires in the proper direction even though we mark them before the swap. The relearn tool is so cheap I would buy it just be sure the sensors are properly oriented. The relearn process is super easy, maybe 3 minutes.
