V4 mode?
Is it possible to tune our cars and force the v4 mode to happen? As an example, why wouldn’t we want v4 mode anytime the car gets to 7th gear?

for V4 exclusive mode seem like this is the only option available. I am looking for thing kind of setup for my daily driving and full v8 on weekends only. |

I had the A8 shudder problem and fluid replacement a while ago so I monitored my car during my last long highway trip just to see what it does. I was traveling with a group so I had the cruise control set to 70 MPH (the speed limit). The engine stayed in V4 mode except when climbing hills and the car averaged 30+ MPG both ways. Start/stop city driving is where my car takes a beating for fuel economy. I have been surprised to see how much time the car spends in V4 mode in city and highway driving.
I question DiabloSport's claims of better fuel economy and it seems like this would suffer some of the same side effects as the Range AFM disabler. |
