Nothing bigger than carry on is getting there tho lol. Pillows and shoes, yea sure. Stuff a quilt in there easy. There's room when you scoosh your stuff passed the opening.

I can't stand using the backseats for storage. That's just me.

If they made it a hatch, it'd been impressive back there actually.

I could carry more in the back of my C6 and even a Yeti 45 qt cooler would fit without the glass hitting it. The Yeti would not fit in the back of my C7. The Yeti also would not fit in the trunk of my 2015 GT stang and bet it won't fit in the trunk of my LT1 but have to try it out.

The ride is actually quite nice, at least with Magnetic Ride. I had a 1LT on vacation that I could tell didn't have MRC, but even it rode ok (although I will acknowledge that it was on decent roads).

What does "hard to see merging traffic in a U-Turn" mean? Is this a shot at the visibility that every one loves to hate on? But, which is nowhere near as poor as the haters say if you adjust your mirrors correctly?

I have always loved the '65 GTO and the '64 Impala SS. A guy had a '64 Impala SS Convertible in the town where I grew up that was restored by him... Absolutely beautiful car.

But anyway you slice it, the interior doesn't offer much more space than the vette.

I can actually get a 2 guitar cases (Sorta) in it after the seats down. Long a skinny works OK.

Ride on this car is excellent. Just got back from an 800 mi round trip from San Diego to Monterey. Done it a few times now. Have run flats and no magna ride. It’s firm like a sports car but nothing close to harsh and the road noise is not excessive at all (maybe my Borla helps). It’s a pleasure.

He should get it, you can’t take it with you as they say , buy it and enjoy. Get the puppy a dog seat belt, they’re online somewhere.

Omg why did I never think to put the manual under the seat, or even under the trunk now that I'm thinking about it. Ugh...

Will be doing that next time I go to the car.

Agreed on all counts about the negatives.

If we get a 7th gen, I really want a better trunk opening (hatch would be great--I'd love for it to be inspired by 3rd gen) and a couple more inches of back seat leg/head room. For as long as this car is, I can't believe how bad the back seat legroom is. I'd be fine sacrificing a few inches of trunk length, if possible.

Also, improve the visibility. Yes we all 'get used to it' but I guarantee it's one of the biggest issues behind the car not selling.

Averaging 22MPG after 1 year of owning. Put on 21,700 miles the first year. Work is 33 miles one way, mostly highway, cruise set at 80 most of the time. Major pro for me, it goes where you want at pretty much any speed. It handles unreal

PROS: Drive train is awesome
MPG (mid 20s daily) amazing for thr HP/Torq
Roomy front, comfy seats
Chicks dig it
Not 12 of them at every stop light
Love the last one actually I saw 2 .
Center console all I got in is a usb cable I never disconnect for car play, a small flashlight ( a bigger one in the glove box), a pair of clip ons, owners manual what else do you need. I leave the phone in one cup holder when the cable is on it.

I see a lot of knocks on the fuel economy...... just to be clear, it’s a muscle car with a big V8. When you play hard yes it will use gas, this hasn’t changed since 1967. But if you drive easy, always use the highest gear without lugging the engine, and use your cruise control as much as possible, you can easily get well over 20MPG which I think is fantastic.

Probably going to get slammed for this but if he grew up in gm a bodies like the gto he might like a new challenger better. He should drive both.

My owners manual stays at home. It adds weight and hurts performance.
