My hood does not lineup it's below the bumper facia.

I took my Camaro in for its 1st oil change and also the hood is misaligned it's below the bumper facia in the front by the lock but on the outer edge of the hood it lines up perfect. The dealerships mechanic try to adjust the lock, he can bring it up so the hood lines up in front but then the edges sticks up to high. They're gonna to take it to The Body Shop on Monday to see what they can do. one thing that worries me is that they will try to bend the edges down. here is my question if they do that you think it will create the paint and it will cause rust down The road.

Anyone else have this problem on a 2020 Camaro convertible L T1

The hood has several adjustment points at the hinges, and the panel gap on either side can be tweaked independent of the front center section (above the hood latch). I have done this myself with guidance from the service manual, and I'm sure the service department folks know even better how it should be done correctly.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it...I had a similar issue with my car, as well as the alignment of the carbon hood insert. As long as they use common sense and take their time, it should come out looking fine. I decided to adjust myself, it wasn’t difficult...
