High side doesn't matter anymore, we still run it at about it's limit, but the port fills all of the requirements after that.

So the factory DI high side provides all of the fuel during idle, most of part throttle, and wide open throttle up to about 3000 rpm, above that port rolls in and can provide any addition fuel required - limit is only based off the port injector size.
On Mike JR's camaro we're running 60 lb/hr port injectors which give us the fueling capability of about 800 additional horsepower on gasoline and about 570 additional horsepower on E85.
Since the capability of the stock LT1 high side drops to about 450 RWHP on E85, we have enough total injector to make about 900 RWHP on E85 with the 60 lb/hr port injectors. We won't explore these numbers because I don't feel comfortable over 750-800 RWHP on a completely stock engine/exhaust.

On our LT4 Z06 we're running 80lb/hr port injectors, along with the LT4 base system we have plenty of fuel for over 1000 RWHP on E85. We will run this car hard once have the low pressure fuel pump situation addressed.

Hope that helps!

Good stuff Mike. What would be the biggest injectors the MAF Fusion controller can drive?

It can run any high impedance injectors, limit boils down to injector availability.

The MAF fusion is a nice simple controller with a reasonable cost, well suited for a street/strip car like Mike Jr's Camaro with a "set it and forget it" mentality. It's the controller we used on the Magnuson Camaro with TVS2650 that made 1157 RWHP back in 2017 and never had any problems with it

There are other port controller options out there and we are also in the process of developing a more featured option for those who desire additional controls.

Definitely looking like the best option IMO. I’ve debated going Crawford as it’s the full Fore triple in tank system along with the entire PI system for $5,500 which is half the cost of a full XDI build. The PI can likely flow more E too. But I’m hoping to see Mikes finished port injection product before making a decision. Since the snow will be flying here in New England soon, I figure I’ll have a few months to make a decision... and for my wallet to recover a bit.

I'm waiting for a CR sale and I'm in for my twins project. My Whipple on the other hand I'm down with this setup. I'd do both if it were available.

There is a point where pistons can become a problem, but it's north of 750 RWHP with a properly tuned system. Most LT1s break pistons about 650 RWHP because of fuel quantity/quality issues and occasionally tuners that don't fully understand the operating principals of the DI fuel systems.
No truer words were ever spoken.
