Advancetrak with SC

Anyone found a way to get some traction control back after blower install. My wife enjoyed driving my car a bit before but she is not a fan of the instant traction loss HAHA. Doesnt bother me but it might be nice to have a safety mode...

If your still running stock wheels and tires, you can go wider.

Have 305s on 20x11s. I drives right through any T/C. Even kicking down at 70mph merging onto highway... I'm sure it will be better with warmer road temps in spring so it just needs to be respected now.

Wow I thought for sure with 305s it would hook up much better for daily driving that's kinda scary.

Agree. My whole concern about going with a Maggie was the torque and this is really making me reconsider.

I can only get on mine at the top of 2nd gear, just forget first. Mines low boost and it will start spinning the tires if you kick it down at 60 mph. I won't do that in the summer but now with cold pavement its just hard on back tires. I have the 295-35-20 555g2s and they have decent bite.

No, sent the meth kit back to Snow. My conservative tuning guys wont use them because if the meth quits during a run it is fatal. 601 on straight 91 never touched a knock sensor. Probably had one more step up safely on 91 to maybe 620 but I decided to leave it until race fuel and ice. If I even need more, I just want consistent mid 10s so I can pound on an 11.0 index class with no cage

That's because they just don't know how to tune in a fail safe.

Also, you can always do a completely safe tune and add meth just for the cooling effects.

Can you go into further details on both?

i know the aem has a fail safe set of 2 wires.

In the instance of my car I have a dual stage manual boost controller (wg pressure when not under power or higher boost when given power), if I wired the boost controller in with the fail safe on the aem, if there was a problem with the meth kit or the tank ran to low it would cut the power to my boost controller and put me on wg pressure (5lbs) safe tune no meth...

Tuning in a fail-safe for meth will depend on who and what you're using to tune. There are several ways to go about this.

As far as adding meth on top of a regular tune, you simply need to adjust the methanol nozzle and flow rate to get IAT's in line. When using this method, I suggest just using simple -32* rated washer fluid which is a combination of water and methanol. This is also a great way to keep your valves clean on a DI engine.

They are pretty good, They tune ALL of our stuff and we have had 0 failures in 12 years. Say what you want, I trust them.
