Wait you were doing 150+ mph to charge your battery?
Or am I reading this wrong?

Edit: Canada so this could be kph or 93ish mph?
..my thoughts exactly..should @ least have a warranty on the battery?

Oh yes the battery was under warranty. Almost 3 months old and well under 1000 miles defective battery. I guess I bought the wrong red car.

Mike,

Send off an email to OMVIC, I know they're in charge of dealerships, but maybe they would be willing to take on your compalint.

Sounds good, thanks Frank for the info. Just a piss off in general I need to deal with this. Like my father use to say "Never bite the hand that feeds you"

Yup...I have to agree, the general in Canada does not like to look after their customers after the sale...
but, I hate to say this...in their defense, They are contracted to GM Roadside assistance, of which they would have paid for your towing by contract law.
By using an outside source, they are not contracted/obligated to pay for it..
The right thing to do however.....would have been for Gm to pay for the tow...to look after their customers
Did you think about small claims court to recover your towing expenses?

Wow...I had a dead battery from listening to my xm radio too long (2hours) this summer in the driveway.
I tried to charge it at home and it took 3 hrs to have a charge to start it.

However my side alert sensor blew and it was changed. Sometimes it fails or gives me a temp message ...service side alert sensor.
The battery was tested but just last week i got a message about battery then it went away.

Im into law...like "chicken sue guy"
Simply send a letter of demand by fax ( free and very legal!!) to dealership owner and GM Canada holding either jointly and/or severally for 1 all the costs and 2 refusal to honor the guarantee so say 1500$.
Give them 10 days or u will use necessary legal means w/o further notice.
When they call u to negotiate ..go half way ...good luck

OMG,

I'm now worried about disconnecting my battery for winter storage (disconnect negative terminal only to avoid drainage), like I usually do, and hope it doesn't give me any issues in the Spring.

Well I got a cheque in the mail and they paid the towing charge. It was odd as I did not even have the opportunity to speak with a GM rep.
