Well, this sucks!
I purchased a 2018 Tahoe that I special ordered exactly the way the wife wanted it and took them a check for 74 thousand and some change. They were running 10% off MSRP a few weeks ago so I jumped on it. The Tahoe was considered a total loss prior to shipment and my dealer notified me today that Chevrolet refunded them and they were going to refund me. The problem is that there is no incentives now and the block to order a 2018 ended today. There are no 2018 Tahoes anywhere close to what we had spec'd out. The reason for the post is I a hoping someone knows someone (especially me dealer friends on here) that this has happened to before and how I can get this resolved in my favor. I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask Chevrolet to honor the 10% MSRP on a 2019 model with the same specs but I know it will probably take some arm twisting. Help me find who's arm to twist.

Sorry to hear that, and sorry that I don't have an answer to your question, but what happened? Did a fissure open up beneath the factory parking lot and eat your Tahoe?

Thanks! Chevrolet is being very quiet about it. The dealer said they don't know either. I am thinking either a hail storm or the transporter had an accident. I am sure it is rare but I have seen some transporters in some pretty bad accidents.

I was going to suggest maybe the train derailed, but you said "prior to shipment" though.

From what I heard, the Assembly plant in Arlington, Tx, which assembles the larger SUV's was hit with a huge hail storm. Which is probably why it was totaled before shipment.
