Price on new 2017 2LT

Hey guys looking to pickup a New 2017 2LT. The one I'm looking at has an MSRP of 42,315 and the dealers price is 38,930. $2000 conquest bonus and a $3250 incentive brings the car down to 33,680. How much room do you think I have to neogotiate considering it's a 2017 and 2019s with a refresh are coming out? Also the dealer said that the incentives for the 2017s would be completely stopped in July. Is there any truth to that?

I just paid $33K for my '17 2LT with a $40K MSRP. I can't imagine you have that much room to negotiate.

No, plus $3K tax (NY) = $36,000 OTD. Please note, you may be required to pay tax on any rebates depending on your state.

Incentives are issued for limited times and the dealerships typically do not know what the new incentives will be. They could go up, down, or be discontinued. Dealerships will often try to make you believe the worst so you are more likely to buy sooner. At least around here there seems to be a decent supply of 2017 models, which will be pumpkins once the 2019 models hit the showrooms. I can’t imagine the incentives going away till the 2017 inventories start to get rare.

You can go to the GM Familyfirst Wes site, do the build and price for the same car with options and get the employee price. You probably won’t get it any cheaper and should be a good starting point for negotiation. The end of the month on the end of GMs quarter is a good time to play let’s make a deal.
