Escalade blower
Hey guys, I just watched a video on the new escalade and it got me wondering. Would the supercharger fit on the zl1 lt4? Probably not enough clearance? Would it even be worth it? It's similar to the zr1 lt5 supercharger minus the direct porting.

Honestly, it should fit under the hood, but it's gonna be tight no matter what...

Isn't the Maggie 2650 good enough, with a ton of Camaro specific testing and all kinks worked out long ago? The Escalade blower doesn't add anything crucial to the mix, or does it?

I personally don't really see the need to swap blowers at all, even though our ZL1 blower is on the smaller size. Anything under 800-850hp is doable all day without swapping the blower...

I bet neither LT5-style blower will fit under a stock ZL1 hood. I doubt it would fit under and SS hood...

It doesn't according to Crawford Racing, so there is that... just was reading it on their site.

Keep the stock LT4 blower or go with the Magnacharger!

I was just curious is all. I would think it would have a higher ceiling than ours, and might be a cheaper route. Ahh well, thanks for the insight.

Exactly. Not worth the time or effort to try to make the Caddy blower fit. The Maggie is going to be superior anyway.

Don't you have an X-Port 1.7? Those are really good, too, for milder builds, no? If that was an option for when I bought my 2650, I may have went that way. There's no arguing the cooling aspect between the two, but if you're shooting for under 800-WHP, isn't that still a good range for the 1740? I know there are, extreme, 1000-WHP builds with 1.7s now, but those aren't street friendly builds, if I understand correctly.

You cannot control the electronic bypass valve with the OEM ECU. That's the biggest roadblock to the LT4.5/LT5 supercharger swaps.

You're at like 700, aren't you?

I figured that swap would be too easy, thanks Mike! I can't afford anything right now, just stuck at home with covid, so plenty of time to think about stuff hah.
