Mine is hardwired as well and you can only see about 2 inches coming out of cam before its hidden. Power wires to fuse box and video wires to MyLink so I can bring it up on the screen if I want.

How did you hide the wire from the windshield down to the fuse box? Did you remove the pillar trim? If so how hard was it to remove and how? I just don't want to break anything. If I could get this part hidden I would be happy.

I didn't remove it. I just used my plastic trim tools and pried it up enough to tuck the wires in.
It is just held on with clips but I didn't want to break any accidentally.

Thanks, I'll try that later.

Just tried it on mine, couldn't get it to open a gap at all, I guess the convertible's pillar trim is different from the coupe.
Oh well.

It just pops right off just like a coupe. I'd use a trim pry tool if you can. If not, use something else plastic and flexible, wrapped in a soft towel if you can to not leave any pry marks on the plastic.

Where do you pry it at? I have the trim tool but it wouldn't even budge.

I also used a plastic pry tool on my convertible and just pushed everything back. I ran the wire to the fuse box easily. Just firmly pull and it will come out to give you a clean install.

How do you tie in to the mylink? I have a cheap $40 Wal Mart cam but want to get a nicer one now that I know I like it and bringing it up on mylink would be a big plus

Did a fuse tap and ran my wire down the INSIDE of the pillar.. On my Subaru I didn't even go that far, just tapped directly into the circuit powering the map lights. Worked perfect.

I would continue running down side console and use plug inside center arm rest compartment. That's how I have it and no wires showing

The camera you buy has to have a video output (yellow rca) then I just tied it into the third input of the video switch that I use for My front camera. Programmed another home link button for the dash cam. Just look up threads on front cameras for the equipment used.

I was prying pretty hard and bending the trim but it wouldn't pop loose, I was afraid I would break something and then catch hell from the wife...LOL.
