Discount Tire gives 1 million to campaign against legalization of weed
http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/n...n-against.html
Well I'm glad I've given Tire Rack my business recently. Personally I've never touched weed, but I'm for the legalization because the tax benefits would be enormous and weed has medical merit. I think there's a lot more harmful things than weed that people ingest.

Fed, state and local governments can do whatever they want. Companies will still ban it, legally.

Long as alcohol is legal I'll never understand how marijuana isn't. And yes, it's not like you're going to be getting high at work any more than you can get drunk now.

+1 I think its fear and paranoia for the years of propaganda against it. I agree that liquor is way more harmful than weed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I could drink a beer tonight and would test negative tomorrow.
I could take one bong hit tonight and test positive for a month. That is why pot is illegal. |

Alcohol hasn't always been legal..... had to edit the Constitution to legalize the devils water.

Exactly how I feel, just because something is illegal now, doesn't mean it should never be legal. Look how much money is made in alcohol. States can make a lot of money of marijuana. I'm just surprised a company like Discount Tire would take such a big stance against something that is slowly shifting to be legalized.

In tests, the effects of marijuana remain far longer than the effects of alcohol. It was determined and documented that after smoking one joint the person's motor skills had not returned to a pre-smoking level 24 hours after having taken their last drag. While this is a documented, proven fact I believe the primary reason marijuana has not been legalized is because there is zero documentable way to determine how intoxicated a person is. Alcohol has blood tests and breathalyzers but marijuana has nothing. If you really want to get it legalized quit complaining and protesting and do something worthwhile to further the science behind it. That's where we as a society fall short in this modern day. All we do is bitch and wait for someone else to do something about it.
