TSP VVT- 3 camshaft

My wife order yesterday the TSP VVT-3 package with the 3200 stall converter. I wasn't supposed to know. I was looking to buy one but she beat me at it. Anyways, I was quoted 2600$ for the install of my parts , that includes the camshaft, lifters etc, converter and tranny cooler. I am not really sure if that is a good price. The car will be tune by Dynosteve via live link in case someone asks.

Today I just found out that the person that did my gears works part time for URD in Orlando. I wouldn't mine giving him $1500 for the job.

Its kind of hard to decide from a race car builder or a shop that have been working of chevys for a while.

Maybe a bit high. Is that including the tune? I would estimate labor at 4 to 5 hours for the tc, and 10 hours for the cam.

Why not have tune done by the shop that installs it? You have plenty of good shops around. Something goes wrong they will blame each other and you're stuck in middle

It's either one, not both. Next Level Performance or one of the guys that work for URD. I will safe about 1000 with the URD that will work on it. Next Level Performance will be about 2700 that includes a 58$ convinience fee for bringing my own tune.

It's hard to decide at this point who I want to do the install. That's because both are good, one of them its one the side for 1700 or pay 2700 to a reputable shop.

I'm very interested how this build turns out. I'm currently comparing cams for my L99. Please let us know and hear your car when it's finished.
