I'd recommend talking to the shop manager to get it straightened out. Had a genius drop one on our Jeep hood and scratched the hood and chipped the hinges. Installer denied it and claimed the scratches were from off road out here in the AZ desert. Never have found a branch that does big, perfectly straight paint damage parallel to the windshield. Threatened to elevate to my insurance company which may drop them. Ta Da! Damage fixed at the best paint shop in town and the installer was looking for a new job. Hassle = Yes, but was resolved. I have used them since but always watch like a hawk.
