LT1 vs. Lt4

Whats the difference between the LT1 and LT4 other than the addition of the Super Charger?

The Lt1 and Lt4 share the same oil pump. Both are manufactured by melling but they're assembled at different plants. Here is a link OP about some of the differences between the Lt2 vs Lt1. https://www.google.com/amp/s/gmautho...m-the-lt1/amp/

It's direct injection just like the Lt1 and Lt4. The only gm motor that has a dual setup is the Lt5 in the Zr1. The injectors are going to be underneath the intake manifold with a high pressure fuel pump feeding them from the head.

LT1 wet sump crate engine: $8471.40
LT4 wet sump crate engine: $14,817.76

Or: $6346.36 in ‘extras’

taking ownership of an LT4 equipped vehicle immediately boosts your credit score and home value. that's what i was told anyway.

i felt the beginnings of a mullet when i bought my ss 1LE. so i went with it.

Wrong. The LT4 has an active displacement oil pump that is unique to the LT4.
