SS Brembo brakes rotor question

I've had some issues with the dealer I bought my SS from so I am just looking for confirmation on the brake rotor type. First off, the plastic bag with the track pieces in it was torn open so I asked the dealer about it. We spoke with a mechanic supervisor-Mike, who said one of the shop guys opened the bag and put the parts on the car, but it didn't look right so he asked Mike about it. Who told him those are not stock parts, but for the track only-so they came off. Mike then told me they had to fire 2 mechanics because they were doing hinky stuff. Another guy in the room said-oh yeah, they had to go.

So..... I also have red Brembo calipers with what looks like 6 piston in the front and 4 piston on the rear., but they are on solid brake rotors.

However, I've done some research I see that those calipers come on drilled and slotted brake rotors.

So my question is, is it possible these fired guys stole the rotors or put on the wrong-solid-rotors? Or do they come with solid rotors also?

I believe 1LE and ZL1 are all solid rotors. Not sure about ZL1 1LE. The performance 6–piston upgrade kit GM sells comes with slotted rotors.

1LE has 2 piece rotors. I haven't seen drilled and/or slotted OE on any of the Camaro's. It sounds like your car has the simple Brembo upgrade which is only calipers if I'm not mistaken.

Picture? You probably just have the red painted caliper option on the regular 4 piston fronts.

Here is the picture and I believe this is correct and stock. I'm just having a hard time trusting this dealership with all the missteps and gross errors.

These are the 6 piston on front and 4 piston on back right?

Those are 4 piston front and rear calipers, as comes stock on all SS, non 1LE models. To get the 6 piston fronts, which include the two piece front rotors, you have to purchase the 1LE package or GM performance brake upgrade.

Roger. I just saw that the front caliper is 12 inches and the back is 10 inches so I assumed they were different size pistons. Thanks for the info.

The dealer should still have given you the track cooling deflectors and small brake shields.

They did, but with a torn ass bag, because some junior mechanic doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

Do you know if the LT1 model Camaros come with the brake cooling reflecors or ducts, too?
