Hesitation under 3k rpm / throttle response?
I recently traded my cammed 5th gen SS for my beautiful 2018 SS 1LE.
NGM 1LE with 25,000 miles. I absolutely love this car. It already feels faster than my cammed/bolt on 5th gen. Only one issue though, Has anybody noticed a hesitation, or lag under 3,000 rpm? its almost like its cutting fuel or something. It just doesn't want to go or respond to the throttle much under 3,000 rpm. Maybe it's the way I was used to driving a 5th gen, is this just how the 6th gen feels? I have a Pray ported stock 87mm throttle body, Rotofab dry filter w/ sound tube delete intake, and a custom tune for 93 emailed to me for my handheld SCT tuner. I didn't notice the issue until after the tune. But also, I wasn't used to the car yet, and didn't drive it a whole lot before buying TB and intake tune for it. So it might have been there. I don't remember it though. So, that made me think about going back to stock tune. After applying the stock tune, I didn't have the problem for a day. Then I noticed the problem was there after some slow, heavy traffic driving. But not as much as when I had the tune. I also don't know if the diff fluid has ever been changed. But I'm not sure this is the problem TL;DR Has anybody else noticed this? I give it some throttle, its hesitating until about 2,500 - 3,000 rpm then it lunges forward like all the power is restored. Any input is appreciated! Thanks. |

Seems to be an unsolved issue. We have a thread for it here https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=574424. Try it with rev match off.

Yes mine got worse every time I added another free flowing item. Started with a ported IM, then it got worse with the ported TB, now it's extremely bad with the addition of a Roto-Fab. These cars don't like too much air under 3k. I'm getting it re-tuned due to adding e85 sensor so I'm hoping it will improve but likely still have issues with rev match on. Many guys are seeing this problem too.

I have the SCT Bullydog. I've been in contact with SCT support for a few days. I've synced with the cloud, connected to WiFi, registered my device.. however, when I perform a datalog run, I go back home and try to upload the files, it says "no datalog files found" I'm 95% sure I'm logging correctly. It's like the datalogs just disappear after I save them. |

It's a bummer these cars don't come with a wideband stock. I get a stumble just off idle if I leave it in gear, but I think that's normal. My car was smooth and torquey down low before my intake.
I bought the GMPP intake and tune - it drove (and still does, IMO) very different and weird from my 15k mile stock tune - kinda lean in some areas, kinda very rich in others, did all sorts of weird things to my throttle response. It's definitely getting better after a little bit of time to adjust LTFT, but I think the combination of the new VE table and other adjustments for humidity/temperature/etc. (which were designed for the old VE table) are causing weird hot-spots in the fueling at low temps. |

Sounds like a tune issue to me

I have also noticed coming off from a stop into a slow roll under 15mph i get a short buck sometimes. Not sure what would cause it, seems like it needs gas for a split second. Otherwise the car runs fine and has plenty of neck snapping get and and go with really very little lag vs my 2019 C7 that was really bad.
