GM's Lowering and Suspension Kits?

Has anyone popped these on their camaros?

Interested in doing this, but don't want too rough of a ride in my only car, nor do I want to be too too low.

Any feedback is appreciated.

For reference, looking for people's experiences a few months/a few thousand miles later.

When I ordered my 2017 SS The spring/strut & shock kit was on the option list as an LPO. The sway bar kit was not yet available. As I recall, the difference in ride quality is virtually unnoticeable. When the car was delivered, I asked the dealer to call me so I could measure ride height and test drive it before they did the install. The kit lowered the car 11/16".
The bar kit is something I still want to do at some point.

So did you ever get the sway bar kit?

The ride isn't super jarring is it? I am a road trip guy, so I routinely do 4+ hour road trips, a jarring ride might give me spinal issues....

No, I have not yet gotten the sway bar kit.
I have spent hours on the road, and the ride is not jarring at all, in my opinion, and I'm an older guy.

I installed the sway bars on my '16SS and could tell the difference before I made it out of my 1/8 mile gravel driveway. It's strange how you can detect the added stiffness at parking lot speeds and on the track, but not really in normal, non-spirited, street driving. I track my car frequently and could not be more pleased with the FE4 spec bars. Even if you're not a track rat, I believe you will like the sway bars. IMHO they do not degrade the ride quality at all, and I would be very surprised if you notice the difference on a road trip.

just as a heads up - GM is having a sale and this kit is 25% off list price now - you can order on the GM website and set up free delivery at your local dealer. I just ordered the kit for my Convertible SS. It is back-ordered, but the order went through and they will ship it when available. $1125! not a bad deal at all.

+1. I took advantage of this deal as well. Hopefully it’s not back ordered too long lol.

Lowering and sway bars

I had both installed in my 18 SS, and have loved it. I owned another 18 SS for about a month before buying mine new. The difference in ride quality is negligible in my opinion (but 1 month of driving the other, I didn't know it second nature like I would now). Mine is a daily driver, but my daily drive is normally short, and is non-existent since March, but the ride harshness is just typical sports car. It's not a plush ride. But if you were fine with the SS ride before, you'll be fine with it after the mods. And they really deliver on the track. If you're doing it for track gains, definitely worth it. If just for looks, very likely worth it because there really is no downside other that the pocketbook hit. GM did a great job tuning this kit to feel like the normal SS, but perform like the 1LE. Not sure where you're located, but if close to Boston I'd take you for a ride to give it a real world feel.
