How to Change Your Oil (Guide) - 2016-2018 Camaro SS

Many of you change your own oil. If that is you, this guide is not for you. But for those of you interested in taking it on or simply want to do it to save money moving forward, this guide is for you.

Oil is to cheap to not change often as it's a critical maintenance item for our performance cars.

These engines appear to drain slowly (need an hour) to get it all out. If there is still more than a quart of old oil in the system and I add 10 quarts, should I drain some out? I just changed it yesterday and the dipstick is just above the 2nd mark. Have you experienced this?

Update: I drained almost a quart out and the oil was below the low mark. Added almost a quart to get to the 2nd mark. I must have only been over the 2nd mark by about 2 ounces the first time.
