How do YOU shift your A10?

So a buddy of mine said to switch it to manual to hold the gear but once I step on it to flip it back over to auto and let the performance shift mode do its thing. But last night I noticed that it shifted a little early (IMO) about 6300-6500rpm. Now I've taken it to about 6900 when I'm shifting it myself. Where do y'all shift and what do you think is better. The inner car guy in my head says redline it and shift it myself lol.... Thoughts???

I like the performance shift in auto. In track mode I like the fact if you tap the gas to the floor and let off, it down shifts to the lowest gear. The faster you slow down the faster it down shifts for you. I am not sure where it shifts at as far as RPM but it is a cool feature.
