Heritage grill question

Alright so I'm planning on getting full length body stripes on my ss and getting a heritage grille I'm going to take off both of my bowties front and back ( and sell them there profesonaily painted color matched black from gm ) but I would like to insatll the ss emblem from the original grill to the same area on the heritage what's the easiest and best looking way to attach it to the new grill and get it off the old grill ?
Thanks in advance

Clean Cut Creations has one but I'm told they sometimes ship them without hardware and refuse to believe you didn't get the hardware...

so... take that for what it's worth.

JAB, getting it off the old grill is EASY, especially since you are going to put the heritage grill on. Once you get the original grill off, there are 4 tabs on the back side of the bowtie that are EASY to get at with the grill off, and you jsut pust them threw. The back one is held on with double-sided tape. use a piece of either deltal floss, or fishing line and work it under the bowtie and use a sawing motion, then use some WD-40 or rubbing alchol to remove any tape residue, then rewax that area, seeing as how you have a 2011, there are no holes on the back bowtie.

as far as putting the old style SS on the front, you should talk to Chris at our next meeting, as he has done that on his.

To each his own, but I dissagree... (no hate here)

On black I think the the heritage grille looks especially good... and in person... Photos do not quite cut it... I decided to leave mine without emblems... makes it look even meaner...

Not meaning to thread jack... so back on topic...

You may want to check out this thread... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...eritage+emblem

Or even about 3/4 the way down in this PDF...

http://www.cleancutcreations.com/catalogpage3.html

For me it looks like they just used 3-m double sided tape and stuck the SS back on the grille. (just do not put it on upside down)

You may also want to take a look over in the Cosmetics and Lighting Section.

JAB, do you know how this owner was able to mount that? I have the SS from my OEM grill but the mount is crooked, so it would line up with the original and it just doesnt seem to fit corretly in the heritage. Any ideas?

This is my plan as well. Just the SS, no bowtie.

+2

I'm going to do summit white with the grill unpainted and the red SS in the stock position.

I guess spray a coat of clear on the grill first to protect from fading.
