recommendation on a da polisher

I have an old porter cable buffer and a cyclo dual head polisher but I am looking for a good polisher to polisher and do some paint correction. A few of my cars have complete xpel pf and I just recently purchased a brand new daily driver that does not have ppf and I would like to do a complete detail on it and be able to keep after it. I have looked at a lot of them but there are so many brands and then models within each brand that i was wondering if you guys had some advice on which one with specific model numbers or at least a brand like flex, rupes or torq
Thanks
Brett

You cant go wrong with a Flex. Its an industry standard. I have Cyclo, PC, and a Makita PO5000c. I have a Flex PE14 rotary.

Rupes are great but high dollar.

I just bought a Griot Boss 21 COPY, from Chechnya tools. It is the CHE S21. It was $92 plus $35 shipping from Hong Kong. So far this boss copy is really good. Solid construction and smooth operation.

if the Rupes is that much better price is not an issue. If there isn't a benefit for the added cost then that's a different story.

If you want to save money buy a Harbor freight. It’s heavy and your back will tell you about it when you’re done. But it works well.

The overall gold standard right now for most people is the Griots 6 inch with a few pads, no need to get the big kit they sell. I now use their cordless, it works very well on a new car, plenty of battery life.

And yes, the Mack daddy is either a Rupes or a Flex. I own two flexes, they wear like iron, but again I’m on my second Griots in 12 years… And I gave away the first one to a friend, it still works fine.

The new Rupes Mark III bigfoot 21 is around $500. Its an awesome tool but really made for all day every day use.

You can get a good polisher for less than $200: Adams, Griot, Torq

A great one for less than $400: Flex, Makita

An awesome one for less than $600: Rupes

I have a Harbor Freight Porter Cable I bought last year. I’m gonna probably sell it off since I’m moving away and need to downgrade on stuff.
