Guys, I think 7.18 is meant as the release date, as in July 18th. If the new vette has run the ring with that time, then let me know.

A 7.18 ring time is an outstanding feat by any means. If the new vette has done this in base trim, then give it the respect it deserves. Many powerful and well centered cars didn't even approach this time.

People are speculating that its both a date and a lap time. I don't expect that to be the case, but its not impossible either.

I expect the starting price will be a touch under 70 grand. But I have no idea what leads me to think that.

I've mentioned before, that this is of the utmost importance.

The Corvette has always been a sports car (America's Supercar, as of late) on a budget. With the 6th generation Camaro struggling in sales, due to (IMHO) appearance and price, I believe GM took note of it. A new, bare-bones C7 Stingray will run you ~$56k. If GM keeps the new C8 (budget model) in the neighborhood of $60-65k, I think they'll be ok.

OC makes no sense, unless it’s an all electric car made entirely of recyclable materials.

I questioned that too. An article I read this morning says that OC has one of the highest rates of sales of exotic cars in the country. That has to be the draw.

I can be made to believe it, but I'd want to see the video myself. Like I said earlier, the design has to be off the rails. Although I like NSX I've never been a fan of mid engines, and the design's gotta be great in order to convince me to spend on one. We'll see, I can be convinced but I'm a hard critic at times.
