I have to say the car did superbly well. It is a complex track, long and 20 corners, so i could lean heavily on my experience there. It was fun to see 6 Camaros ripping it up! I am amazed how good the SS 1LE is even against its bigger brothers ( with less experienced/capable drivers). 650hp, sticky tires and aero doesnt necessarily translate into guaranteed fast laps unless you know how to wheel with machine... Ditto other exotic equipment, except for Radicals on slicks. Those were an automatic point by (well i did make them work for it lol!). Cheers! |

Those vids are a hoot! Interesting you reach faster speed on the oval part in your SS vs the ZL1. Must have been the "owner mod"

With the speedo error from running a 1" smaller diameter tire, I think his true speed was still below that when running the ZL1. It would be about a 3.7mph error at 100mph.

Haha thanks! I really love the roval. Having driven Daytona in April, the CMS Roval is way more fun. We suspected the high heat/humidity + a passenger didn't help. But that car is seriously impressive! It's just that much more sharp than the SS 1LE. Really enjoyed it!

Yet, for an average driver, even experienced to some degree, getting the most out of it might be a wee bit more difficult? I ran with one ZL1 on G3Rs and 3 ZL1 1LEs (albeit only one with a somewhat experienced driver) and had zero issues passing them all even with decent straights. Maximizing braking and then balance on corner entry, mid and exit thankfully still pays good dividents, even if a chasing car has a power deficit |

Wow Watkins Glen is an intense, awesome, and a little scary track! I guess i can settle for 2nd best time for my first time at the track. I couldn't knock off Provoste's slick time, but i did get top street tire time.
It was a beautiful day and the sessions when my car didn't go into limp mode were awesome. A stock ZLE and Z06 were also having limp mode issues? I'm going to re-bleed my intercooler circuit.
