ive decided on getting the flowmaster american thunder axleback for my camaro v6. just a few questions before going through with it. any drone? anyone not like the sound? i want to do second cat delete + AT axleback. what are your thoughts?

one other thing, can i buy just the mufflers to save some money? someone told me flowmaster super 44 series is the same sound.

Was it you I was just talking to on my YouTube channel? Lol

Yeah just buy the super 44 series mufflers and some tips (or keep stock tips) and take it to a shop. I spent less than $80 for each muffler, and $80 for each tip, and install cost me $80.

All together just under $400. Real quick and easy.

The mufflers have to be offset. You can get the same ones pictured in the American Thunder pics, or grab the part number: 942548 cause they are cheaper. That's what I did. Worked perfectly.

EDIT* I went back to the shop today and had the resonator replaced with a true x pipe. I like the sound a little better. Its not a huge difference tho.

I install the American thunder axle-back on my 2018 two weeks after owning it and don't regret it.. Sounds fantastic cold startups are just straight up mean... And when it comes to drowning it does not happen with this exhaust setup.

Here is my comparison of the stock v6 exhaust, VS the American Thunder, VS doing a resonator delete.

I had been on the fence about going with the x pipe, but after hearing that I'm convinced.

Ayeeee, your welcome. Just decide if you want to replace the 2nd cats or the resonator with it.

Just the resonator...really don't want to mess with the secondary cats...

Yeah thats exactly what I thought. This is about as loud as the car is going to get without sounding like a civic. I like the sound a lot and its now much louder than stock without being too overboard.
