2018 SS 1LE vs. 2019 Mustang GT PP2

Here’s an interesting vs. video of the PP2 vs the 1LE. Not the result I was expecting.

Thumbs up

Camaro is the best handling muscle car without a doubt.

Good video, only thing I didn't like is when they said the Camaro broke the rear tires a little they mentioned it didn't have the psc2's the pp2 had, but didn't mention that this Camaro wasn't on the stock supercar 3's and had ps4's instead. Myself and many others think the Goodyear super car 3's are better performance tires than the michelin ps4's so it's worths a mention imo.

Yep

Sport Cup 2's (180TW)

Supercar 3's (220TW)

Pilot Sport 4S's (300TW)

Camaro was on inferior tires and still had the better feel and handling characteristics. I enjoy seeing positive reviews on my car, but its not much of a surprise anymore. The Mustang just isn't developed as well in its current form. GM spent a lot more money on the alpha chassis than ford spent on the Mustang platform. They were able to justify the cost because it was applied to the Cadillac ATS and CTS as well as the Camaro. Ford's mustang platform isn't utilized elsewhere.

However, what isn't acceptable is how Ford didn't put the appropriate coolers on their highest level track pack. That's just laziness or they are trying to avoid other weaknesses in the car getting exposed during 20+ minute track sessions.

Still wish I could have the Mustangs fully digital display and outward visibility though.

Maybe because most of the 6th gen comparison reviews reviews end with: “the camaro drives better but I’d rather own the mustang.”

These guys, however came to the right conclusion

Get a vert with a hud and you’ll never think about that again.

The Camaro is a better performance car than the Mustang. That is a given.

As far as the racing stripes not lining up...it's probably due to variances between different plants. More than likely the bumpers are made and painted in a separate plant from the hoods. So by the time they noticed that some of them were misaligned it was probably too far into production to correct. But still it's a bit unprofessional to have those kinds of problems in a car that costs as much as these newer Mustangs cost.

I think they are stickers not painted. Some times they are even applied at the dealer after delivery as a dealer installed option.

I was kind of dissapointed in this review because they usually take the cars out on a road course. I think there have been a ton of folks who want to see that!
