I wound up getting the matt detailer from the Chemical Guys. There is a store near me and have been meaning to stop in. Worked out perfectly. The wrap on the hood looks better than it ever has. Nice consistent gloss level. No water spots. No evidence of bug hits. Nice.

Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer is great to use after washing to make it spotless. If you live in an area with hard water, like when I lived in Southern California, you need to be fast and dry the hood immediately after washing with soap and water to prevent water spots. There will almost always be some even with that method but it will be minimal. I would not recommend any sealants or waxes after cleaning if you want to maintain the matte finish, as they will cause it to shine. The wrap is pretty rugged and doesn't really need any protectants anyways.

Same here. I have an artesian well and a separate water softener. All I need do is wash the hood with the rest of the car. No spots, no haze, she looks factory new after every wash. Wipe dry.
