Base LT1
Has anybody done a driveshaft or axles yet in a base lt1 car to see if they fit ?

I have not but I would almost certainly say yes they fit, they have the same transmissions, engines, and differetials, LT1 is just missing big rear brakes and several fluid coolers on the SS in the drivetrain department.

Thanks for the info I can tell you for a fact that the light weight brakes from other suppliers don’t work spindle is different for rears . I’m doing front aero space so hopefully they work .

You have V6 brakes on the rear. Base 1SS brakes on the front

Yea but i wanted to fit 15s but the v6 brakes don’t work . So when I ordered the aero space they don’t work sadly

Im glad i came across this. Ive toyed with the idea of a 15" conversion too, had no clue knuckles were different. Sorry you had to find out the hard way
