Help with auction car

Greetings, all.

I have a friend who bought a 2018 2SS from auction for a, seemingly, great price.

It's obvious it had some mods and all the mods were removed. It starts, but runs like crap at the moment.

I have an MPVI2 and HPTuners. Any suggestions on how to determine what has been done to the car. Or at least what tune is loaded?

Thanks for any suggestions. He wants to turn it into a track day car.

They might have removed the mods, but not the supporting tune?

download the tune and compare it to a stock one. scan it while it’s running. it’ll show you stored codes and everything it’s doing in real time.

This. You can download stock tunes from the HP Tuners repository for comparison purposes.

The HP Tuners repository definitely has a stock LT1 tune, but the one from your car stock should be fine.
