I'm not saying it has or hasn't happened. I would just think it's a possibility with any 2 door car with difficult access to the back seats. Factor in the high belt line and you just don't have as much access.

I think it goes without saying that the Camaro probably isn't a wise choice for a kid hauler. To me personally, it's kind of like making the argument that pit bulls are great family dogs. It doesn't mean that your pit bull isn't the biggest baby on earth, but you're still taking a bigger risk than someone that owns a Corgi. JMO.

The lack of seat belt loop on seat is more of pain n ass than lack of leg room.
Looks good but you could use some weather tech floor matts back there.

I don't think it's about the Camaro being a good or bad kid hauler it's about wanting a performance vehicle you can also share with the family. After having a kid, I have no interest in a 2 seater, I'll never own a Corvette.

The Camaro is prefect for the kids, they actually fit well in the back seat like it was made for them.... I don't think you can say a Camaro is inherently unsafe by elevating how easy it is to get in and out of.
Although the latest data from the IIHS is for 2014 cars, so only the gen 5 camaro here, there are plenty of "family oriented" cars with higher death rates than the Camaro:

Young kids in the back is doable but significantly less practical than sedan.

Just wait until your kids are above 30 inches tall.

I don't have kids (I got a camaro instead) but I have 7 nieces and nephews. My take is the the girls love driving around in the Camaro. They beg me to take them out every time. The boys don't care at all. They will put hundreds of dirty foot prints all over your car especially on the back of the front seats but somehow on the ceiling as well. Kids likely will get bored quicker as they really can't see anything out of the windows. Be prepaired to change the color of the interior spectrum lighting frequently.

As long as they don't have legs.

I take my kids to school 5 days a week in my Camaro. 14 year old up front, 12 year old and 9 year old in the back.

Did you draw those pics yourself on an etch-a-sketch or take them with a first-gen PrimeCo phone?

I take my 17 month old to daycare and pick him up afterwards 4 days a week. The only challenge for me is flipping the rear set around when I'm getting him out, but it's definitely not so bad to where I'd sell the car for something else. Now, if I had 2 kids with rear facing seats, I'd be in something else.
