My 2019 2SS was caught in a bad hail storm. Lost my back window and have major body damage. Estimate is 13k.
Car has 8000 Miles.
I’m hoping they don’t total it and allow the repair.
Any guesses?

WOW, THAT is fkn crazy bad. I would probably cry a little, then hope they write it off. Unless you are under water and all that gap insurance crap I don't buy bites you!

I don't think it will be totaled. That's less than 30% of retail.

Sorry to see the damages. I just went through a total loss of a jeep and the Gap coverage.

Still waiting for everything to be finished up.

That definitely sucks. When I was working out in Alberta I saw a deadly hail storm. We had a brand new rental F-150 for work. After the hail storm it was all dimpled up like a golf ball. I couldn’t believe my eyes. All I could do was stare in disbelief. Hope it gets resolved to your liking.

A lot of car lots in OKC area got trashed I saw. Wont help with the car shortage right now. I hope they total it and give you a good payout.


Hold onto that money. Don't buy now. If you plan on getting a used one again wait until later in the summer when prices go down and buy.


With major damage like that it's like it has herpes now. I wouldn't want to take the hit on trade in.

GAP wont be needed but I do have it. I'm in the positive on equity as I only owe 24k on it... I really hope they don't total it.
If they do total it, the check I get won't position me nearly as well with the same equity I have now and my payment on another one will be higher.
There aren't many Camaros to choose from these days within my region.
As I stated, mine is a 19 with the blacked out grill that was so controversial.
Some hated it, I love it and would rather have my car than than a newer one even if it wirelessly charges my phone.
With the 19 front end, you need the blue, black or maybe the red...nothing else looks good.
The only cars in those colors I have found have way more miles than I have on mine.
So...if they total it...I'll cry, get over it and buy a truck that I can drive in the winter. lol!

So sorry for you, with the price in value of used cars going up especially the camaro I don't see them totaling your car. Dent Wizzard is pretty amazing and what they can do unfortunately it looks like your camaro will be in the body shop for a while but as long as it comes back looking new the wait will be worth it.

Holy Shit!

Yeah those dent guys are pretty freaking amazing in what they can do. I ,as others have said, doubt it is a loss. The car is too new with low miles.

I hope they can get you fixed up. My wife has worked in Claims for a major insurance company for over 20 years then moved to the agent side of the company, I will get her to take a look at the pics this afternoon and just see what she thinks they would do if it was insured with the company she works for.

FYI: I'm pretty sure when they did the refresh in 2019 Hyper Blue Metallic was discontinued and yours is Riverside Blue Metallic.
