idk if that chassis is designed for towing things like that. I'm curious about the stress on the chassis. Someone with more knowledge base can probably provide a better input than me.

1500 lbs plus trailer... no way the car is made to handle that.

I could hear the suspension or axle squeaking as I drove by.

I measured if i could fit 10' sticks of electrical conduit in the car, And it was close. But took a hacksaw along to Lowes and cut them in half on top of their display trailers in the parking lot

Yesterday I saw a C5 Corvette pulling a trailer that was made from the rear end of another C5 Corvette and was color matched! Wish I could have snapped a pic!

Went mountain biking today.. the trail has basically a dirt parking lot. Watched a guy with a new Ecoboost mustang pull into the lot, bike sticking halfway out of the trunk. Pulls in and goes right through a mud puddle, and parks with his front end right in some tall grass. Surprised he didn't get stuck..

The chassis should have no problem towing 1000 lbs, trailer weight and cargo combined.

You could be stretching it, that little trailer probably couldn't handle 1500 lbs. on the bed.
