No! I didn't trim any threads at all. The OEM studs have a 1/2" non threaded section that I trimmed off. I bought the correct die to screw onto each stud before I trimmed them and then backed it off to ensure the threads were straight.

Yeah I did. I'll post a pic of it in a bit

So with the lowering kit from GM,

1- the car rides just like stock?

2- the wheels fit perfectly?

3-Will aftermarket wheels cause an issue? Say the MRR wheels?

THANKS MAN!

Honestly, hard to see how much more "poke" the wheels have with your spacers in just the pictures, but the video really makes it shine. That's where you can really see the difference, that plus the lowered stance. Looks amazing man.

I like the fact that you only had to shave down the part of the stud with no threads....makes using a spacer for factory wheels, but then going to an aftermarket wheel easier.

Thanks man. I'm getting Clear Bra installed tomorrow and then hopefully some pics with my DSLR to show the stance. The iPhone pics make it hard to see

I'm lost, is this the GM kit or aftermarket kit? if this is the GM, why did you have to shave anything down??

If this is aftermarket, excuse the first question.

The Performance Lowering Kit is GM.
The wheel spacers are not. The studs were to long to allow the wheels to be mounted back on.

So if i understand this correctly, GM sells a lowering kit that requires 3rd party parts to work with their own wheels?

NO, the spacers are completely separate from lowering, spacers bring the wheels out further

DUDE. Quit overthinking this. I chose on my own to add spacers to get the offsets flush with the fender. It is completely unrelated to the suspension install. But, since I was there, I just did it all at once. Including painting the brakes too

So, you're saying that GM sells a suspension kit that requires third party brake caliper paint?
