NOOOOOO They got me

Welp it finally happened, my first real accident. After 22 years of driving someone absolutely plastered me. He pulled out of a church parking lot into the middle of the main road(or the middle of my car) as I was passing him. I swerved left to avoid him but the kid just kept going and hit me in the back wheel. All his airbags went off, impact made me do a 180 in the middle of the road.

My damage surprisingly doenst look bad, no airbags deployed and looks like some body panel damage plus wheel and suspension components. Super annoying but thankfully no one was injured. Will post pictures in a sec.

Guess it helps that my car is heavier than his car.

Glad everyone is ok, If he hit you hard enough to spin you I would make sure they check the alignment and if anything looks fishy you might needs some rear end parts replaced.

Oh yeah it's going to need new parts. My wheel has about 10 degrees of positive toe now.

I watched a Durango damn near T-bone a car turning in an intersection. Just blew through the red light, saw it at the last moment and locked up and came to rest in the middle of the intersection. Dude that was making a turn got lucky. I was following the Durango and as I got closer to the intersection I kept thinking "man, he doesn't look like he is going to stop"...

Inattention. Probably interphonenets.

Oh no. Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad no one was hurt. Sounds like he didn't see you for whatever reason.

This is why I try to make a habit of looking both ways when I approach a stop light, and especially before entering the intersection when the light turns green. It scares me how people just fly out into the intersection right after the stop light turns green without even looking either direction.

Based on the pictures, I wouldn't say they got you I think YOU got them.
