The Super Sport package goes back to 1961. My first experience was my Uncles 67 Chevelle SS convertible, big block, 4 speed. To a 7 year old that was and still is one of the baddest cars ever made.

No, it's not true: 6th Generation Camaros with European export specs simply don't carry any badge on them: no "SS" nor "RS". They are simply shaved..
