Is it because of 0w40? you caught a lot more oil after you switch to 0w40?

Damn then it seems 0w40 is too thin when cold, maybe I should just use 5w40, what brand did you use before?

I’ve dusted several 392s over the last few years. The last one was trying to stay with it until he came out of the first turn of an S an almost rolled. He gave up after that.

I pulled up on a Mustang GT a few months ago with my son in the car and commented ‘my natural prey’ my son responded ‘when you’re in this car are any cars not your natural prey?’

Smart kid.

One upped that. I finally got to both see and race a demon for the first time a few nights ago and, well... bus lengths... no competition. Being that I have nearly 500 more rwhp and weigh 40,000lbs less than those cruise ships on nittos. It was fun though, and right after a fresh tank of e85 too (which I haven't had in awhile).

Yeah, I would recommend not doing this unless you like getting spanked (not that there is anything wrong with that) 👀

The catch can content may or may not be indicative of anything. Keep that in mind.

Small blocks haven't seen any major carbon buildup issues if that's your concern.

For a stock car, just stick to whatever the Owner's Manual recommends unless you are actually having issues.

It doesn't come in 5qt jugs, only single quart... Speedway Motors is your best bet...

0 weight oil flows better cold than 5w oil, 40w is hot protection which is better than 30w. So 0-40 esp mobil 1 is your best bet. That oil was developed for track and street use for the C7 corvette Z51, Z06, Zr1 and is used in the new C8 also as a factory fill.
