If someone could point me towards a new 2019 A10 with an OTD price (not counting sales tax, etc) of 18% off MSRP in the color I like (blue or gray) within 400 miles of Nashville or Knoxville it would most likely be in my garage in a week.
12% off a 2020 would put me in the drives seat as well.

I understand but I wouldn’t limit my search for a 2019 and not include a 2020! They will start cutting prices on the 2020s in a few months! After all the 2019s are over a year old now and will be 2 years old when the 2021s come out!

No way would I exclude a 2020. In fact I would prefer one. Only considering a 2019 if the price is low enough to make sense.

Here's an A10 2019 advertised for $61K: https://www.lesonauto.com/VehicleSea...gurus_listings

Tell them you'll buy today for $57K.

Noted. If the other dealers fail to come thru will give them a call. Dammed if I didn't drive right by them last week when wife and I did a mini trip to Venice LA and the Gulf Shores on the way back home. I have learned a buyer is better off asking them what the additional fees cost before making a offer. That's one way they muddy up the deal.

I could go on and on.
The car in Virginia has a great price and when I contacted them they told me they would not give me a OTD price unless I was there in person.
Car sales people/dealerships have sunk to new low's of sleeze in the last 3 years. They knew I wasnt tire kicking either as they were told if they accepted my offer it would be locked in with a deposit via credit card.
Must have patience. Back to the drawing board tomorrow.
That was a surprise about the one in VA, because they have had that car for going on 10 months!

I got my ZLE A10 for 18% off, but had to buy in Colorado and delivered to Houston. Honestly, the car is so unbelievable, I think I'd still feel like I came out ahead even paying MSRP.

BEST DAY TO BUY

Well the best day of the month to buy a car is coming up FEB 29th. Most dealers are required to take a WRITEDOWN on a car once they past a certain time on their lots. This affects their bottom line directly so if you know how long they have had the car then thats information you can use. Best way to find out is the CARFAX as it will tell you when the car was purchased by them.

As a matter of fact, some dealers will run their cars thru the auction once they reach a certain age so that they avoid the writedown. The amount of writedown is typically 3 to 5% so on a ZL1 1LE, that could be easily be over 2K.

Run far away from these guys. Their fees are off the charts. One they tried to hit me with was “safety and security” for $1,595. Plus they offered me 3 grand less for my trade than any other dealer did. They also wanted to charge me sales tax on the price of the Camaro with no credit for my trade.
Like I said.......run.

Another update, no dealer I contacted so far would budge a nickel from the price they list online. Going to give up looking until new GM incentives come out in March.

It appears I found the exact car I wanted, 2020, blue, A10, NAV, and PDR and NO sunroof. It also has the battery protection package and the carbon fiber hood insert which I could live with or without. Took about 5 days to negotiate a deal we both agreed to. Its a days drive and an overnight stay or two to drive to it and back home. Planning on picking it up on Monday as that is end of the current rebates. GM also sent me a "coupon" good for another $1,000 off if I use my GM credit card points and it also expires on Monday. I wont jinx the deal so will not post the price I paid until after the car is in my driveway which will probably be next Tuesday.
I'll have a few questions as I plan on adding some PPF soon.
Appreciate all the advice I have received so far. My C8 is officially canceled.

Looks like patience payed off. Congratulations. That’ll be a fun ride home. I recommend rock guards along with the PPF.
