GM military Discount

We went to the GM site and got a military code for pricing on the Caramo. We ended up getting a 2LT Red Jewel Tintcoat with sunroof, automatic, and RS package for $29,271.54. It was supposed to be 31,235.00. A great deal if you can get the military discount. Thanks GM for honoring our veterans!

GMS and Military discount?

I have GMS pricing (GM family member) on my 2SS from Mike Savoie Chevy in Troy, MI. Salesmen said the dealership made a decision to honor the employee discount on Camaros (it is the dealer's choice I believe) but not everyone is giving discounts. I have been to 4 dealerships and not a single one has a Camaro on the lot that is not already sold. Everything coming in is customer ordered it seems.

So, while I hate to wait until November (and WINTER) to get mine, I went ahead and ordered one.

So my 2SS which as MSRP w/destination of $36,765 has a GMS pricing w/destination of $34,058. The dealer invoice is $34,986 so the GMS is about $928 below dealer invoice.

I still am having a hard time affording the car, are there any other discounts that I can check into? I am a veteran (USAF 86-92).

Also the dealer said that GM has a 'money back guarantee' right now. If you waive the ability to return the car within 60? days, you get a $500 incentive. Anyone else heard of this?

This is true! I have verified with a couple of dealers and you will get a $500 incentive if you waive the 60day return. Really smart on GM's part b/c they don't disclose this on TV. lol

so are the sensors standard for sure on all orders accepted after 8/28/09? cuz i ordered on 9/14/09 and my dealer said there is no such thing and that ppl are just making stuff up. Im still at 1100. Im going to ask about the $500.00 incentive that you might get if you dont do the 60 day return thing. Im getting a feeling that my salesman doesnt know anything cuz everythime i ask him something he says that not true ppl are making things up but al lot of ppl on here are taking about this so its not bs.

Thanks to all who can help answer my questions!!!

Can Someone please help me!!!!

I ordered a 2LT RS Package Aqua Blue with Gray Interior camaro with Auto transmission with tap shift. (NO SUNROOF OR SPARETIRE OR ANYTHING ELSE )and they said $30,360. but when i calculated on the internet its shows my order to come out to 30,160 w/ the $850.00 charge so where is the $200.00 coming from? Is that the price for the sensors? I ordered on 9/14/09 so did i get ripped off? or is the pricing right? How are the other ppl on here getting the same type of car for like around $29,000 id like to know. can someone verify and tell me if im getting a good deal or not.

Thanks everyone!!

Does anyone know are any dealers taking orders with employee pricing? I have asked several dealers in Louisville and none will take an order for employee pricing yet.

Does anyone know if there was a price increase on 1Sept.? I qualify for the military discount and the dealer told me that since they ordered the car on this day the price increased an extra grand. Has anyone else ran into this problem.

becareful! I went out of state to order mine, OTD cost was 31390 which includes taxes and such and included the 495 protective package. My local dealers all had jacked up prices due to "supply and demand" anywhere from 1500-2500 depending on the model. The place I ordered mine through faxed me the print out from Chevy, then wrote off to the side my pricing with the military discount. i ended up saving close to 4 grand by NOT buying local.

also... the discount only comes out to be around 900 after taxes, tags, filing fees and processing. but still..!!

To my undersatnding the sensors are now standard on the 2LT and 2SS only. They are an available option on the 1LT. If you go to the chevy website and look up specifications it does list it that way also under the safety features section. I hope this helps.

I was on the phone with him when he put it together. from my calculations of the info listed in this post, the car should cost me $35,338.08 with dest charge. where could this $601.74 be comming from?

unless prices or %'s went up again .
JER, save the $470 or whatever for the Fugly Polished Wheel Option...
and have the Standard Wheels Chromed or buy aftermarket...
I unknowingly goofed up too, and ordered my 2SS with the polished wheels.

BTW - the destination is now $850

Well in Conway, Arkansas, they marked them up $6,000 over MSRP. I looked at that and told the general manager that he should be ashamed to try to gouge me like that when as a taxpayer I helped bail them out to the tune of 10 billion, billion with a B. He said people were lined up to buy these. I looked around the pty showroom and laughed. I went out and bought a Civic SI. Sell it to some other schmuck
