Hot Wheels Order yet?

Stopped in to local Chevy Dealer and inquired about being able to order a Hot Wheels Edition Camaro. Was told they had no info to be able to price it out let alone order.

Are the full of Sh$t or is it really to early?

It should have never left... Ford should bring back GHIG as well. These cars should be readily available in bright colors. The automotive world needs more blue, green, orange, purples. I'm so tired of 100 different shades of black, silver and white.

I have to give props to Dodge. They at least always have a great color palette.

I heard from Becky D. tht ordering will not be until the end of January, and possibly not until beginning of February....as I am looking t ordering one.

Hell, my local Ford dealer hasn't even received any 18MY mustangs on their lot. Losing sales to enthusiast like us. Sometimes I just can't understand this business.

I can't stand most dealers about this type of inquiry. Granted, this was before I found these forums.

Once the ZL1 1LE was debuted, I tried to order one. Only after ordering cycles had been out for a month and a half was anyone able to tell me anything.

Kind of nuts.

Most are clueless- the best one is let them check their inventory and get back to me!

Most dealers are interested in selling volume. They move Silveradoes, Tahoes, and Malibus at a rapid rate and stuff the cash register. From their perspective, the occasional Camaro or Corvette sale is cool. They also assume the person coming in for one of those cars already knows what they want and that anybody with a pencil can scribe the order.

A few have a Corvette / Camaro specialist on staff who make it their business to know all the details that enthusiasts want to know and how to shepherd the order through the process. You'll only know what's going on if you are dealing with a dealership that has the latter.
