Just got word back from the dealership that the order for my 2016 2SS Convertible has been placed! Now we wait :P I'm being told it's the first 2SS Convertible ordered in the area and possibly in Canada so that's exciting. I have no proof supporting that though, just dealer rumour :P

In the meantime, arguing with Service Ontario to get my plate approved >_>

Haha yea I'm only 5' 10" so I should be able to handle it I hope haha; first convertible car :P

Heh yea man, the pressure is on! Once we get 'em tho we'll have to arrange a meet-up or something. Get Frank involved as well :P

The plate I *wanted* to get was FAWKES to match the name of the car but they rejected it because it's "abusive or derogatory". I'm assuming that's because somehow you could manage to pronounce it as f***s lol... but I don't know any Canadian that would pronounce it that way..... Maybe that's just me though being half British haha

Either way, I've sent them a request for reconsideration so we'll see how that goes...

Amazing. The dealer I'm talking to can't see verts in the system yet. I love the garnet too.

My car only took 10 days to get here - including that early snowstorm.

It could be here at the end of next week or week after.

Exciting stuff.

Make sure you check back with your dealer tomorrow and the next day for an update on your workbench. That way you know if it haa been shipped and where it is.

Did you try your plate online? The online service and the service ontario stores are 2 separate companies. Maybe it will go through? You might get lucky and the guy that reads the application thinks nothing of it?

Yea man I'm so crazy excited!! 10 days, eh? That's crazy soon... I'm out of the country for work next week so I'm PRAYING it doesn't get here THAT soon. I want to be at the dealership when they unload it off the truck

Yea my dealer has been really good since I asked him for daily updates so I am expecting him to text me when it ships If it SHIPS next week then that's awesome. I actually don't want it to ship too soon or I'll miss it xD

whoops sorry missed this haha, Dealer let me know TPW is March 21. We are hoping for early April dealership arrival which works out well since current lease ends May 1st.

I am from Bolton and definitely would love to do a meetup with some of the Ontario members
