Heads Up Display

Has anyone experienced any issues with their Heads Up Display? Suddenly, mine isn't appearing as it usually would. Reaching out to community to verify, not sure if there's a quick fix that I'm unaware of.

Did you readjust your seat maybe, now out of range?
someone touch the brightness or move it too high or low?

HUD CONTROLS:
LEFT —
Press down or lift up to center the HUD image. The HUD image can only be adjusted up and down, not side to side.
CENTER —
Press to select the display view. Each press will change the display view.
RIGHT —
Lift up and hold to brighten the display. Press down and hold to dim the display. Hold down to turn the display off.
The HUD image will automatically dim and brighten to compensate for outside lighting. The HUD brightness control can also be adjusted as needed.
The HUD image can temporarily light up depending on the angle and position of the sunlight on the HUD display. This is normal.
Polarized sunglasses could make the HUD image harder to see.

By the way, it's "Head Up Display," not "Heads Up Display."

Good points, I did adjust the interior lighting last week (the knob directly to the left of the steering wheel) the highest setting will turn the interior lights on. However, even after turning the knob down (interior lights are off but well lit) the display isn't showing up.

Seating position isn't that high either to be out of range

yeah, check your adjustment, it really doesn't take much for it to disappear entirely, I have it in the wifes escalade and I have to adjust it to find it every time I get in.

I've noticed that certain sunglasses make mine completely disappear. When I wear them I have to turn the intensity all the way up or I can't see it. Just a thought too.

Any polarized sunglasses - to be specific. Regular ones are just fine. :-)

The newer HUDs are much better with polarized sunglasses. I could barely see the older monotone ones, but the color ones in the C7 Corvette and 6th Gen are fine, just a little less visible.

Yes many brands of polarized sunglasses will do this (depends on how they apply the filter). I live in Arizona, so I'm pretty much always wearing sunglasses... I completely forgot it existed until I drove it at a night time track event a few weeks back.

When I first got the car first few days of getting used to it, sometimes I had a green HUD, sometimes white. Took me awhile to figure out my dark tinted but not green RX sunglasses was the culprit.
