Stainless Works Cat-Back w/AFM Delete codes
Hello,
I hand Stainless Works cat back system installed with tune to turn off AFM. I reset my ECU for a dealer visit and now get the following codes: Ecm:P069E, PCM: P12E8 and PCM:P12F5. I don't think a cat back system should throw codes. I have my AFM motors connected to the dummy exhaust bracket. Do you think its a bad ground to the actuators? Or something im missing? The funny thing is on morning cold starts soon as it switches to V4 mode it throws the codes but if I delete all codes and drive it the car fine no CEL. Next morning I cold start and drive.....soon as V4 mode kicks in wham CEL codes. And I have no exhaust leaks cold or hot. Bad tune, if it's still turning on AFM despite being turned off.

I spoke with Stainless Works support and they stated the codes are from low current. They told me to apply Carbon Electrical Grease where the mount to improve grounding.
I will update post if it was successful or not. George |
