Still only front Brembos on the 18 GT.

That's a shame. So how do they really expect to compete when they keep cutting corners? With the SS you get all the performance. With the GT you gotta get this package with that option and yada yada. And even then you only get half of the brakes upgraded. WTF? Why even upgrade them at all then? They threw shitty tires on the base GT. It's like a dude showing up to a formal dinner in a tux with some Nikes on, lol!!

Doesn’t the PP2 package still come with the base single piston rear brakes? Now that is lame.

PP1 is available on both auto and manual. PP2 is manual only as you stated, but that's no different than the SS 1LE being manual only as well.

Nothing wrong with not having brembos in the rear. 75%+ of the stopping power comes from the front. Just adds extra money in replacement parts. I mean granted it looks better, but from a performance standpoint it really doesn't make all that much of a difference.

Are you sure about that? ^^^.
Can you quantity "much"?
From a pricing standpoint, are they charging at a level that it should be there?

The nice thing about Camaro is the performance is standard.

Im pretty sure the S550 could benefit from rear Brembos. Not like it doesn't need the help already.

Yeah better tires would be more justifiable than brembos in the rear for increased braking.

Again I agree with you they should be there, but it's not really going to make such a drastic difference.

My Charger has brembos all around, the Mustang is the only current pony car that doesn't, but it's not the end of the world.

Hell the base GT doesn't even have brembos unless they fixed it for 2018, it did have pretty good 4 pistons though. Doesn't always have to carry the name brembo.

True, but if your buying a pp1 or PP2 package, I’m sure a dual or four piston brake would make a difference, and it doesn’t need to be Brembo. Heck just take the base fronts that were replaced with 6 piston and put in rear.

I agree with you. All I was saying is it's not as much of a difference as many people think.

Then why all the top sports cars have them? Looks?

We aren't talking about top sports cars. We are talking about SS and GT.

Look at the stopping tests for example on the SS vs GT in edmunds.

GT- 118 ft
SS- 105 ft

The Camaro has brembos all around and much better tires and is lighter.
GT has the base brakes. Not even the brembo since it's not a PP.

So 13 feet for having far superior brakes, better tires, and less weight? You throw equal tires on the GT and watch that number decline. Will it match it? Nope.

When you step up to lightweight, high performance cars capable of 200+ mph and ludicrous acceleration everything goes. You need every bit you can get.

Again it seems you want to just argue for the sake of arguing. I never said there was no benefit, I said the difference isn't going to be as drastic as people are making it out to be.
